The photograph was taken during my third month studying at McGill University, Canada. Back then, I was exhausted from pulling all nighter almost everyday to keep up with the abundant tasks the program required (it is a Master of Management in Finance). My mind was in chaos, my body exhausted and the lack of sleep really drove my emotional control. Knowing I have to had a break, I decided to go to Quebec City after the final exams are over, before the beginning of another course. It was just me, my camera, and a suitcase.
The weather was cold, and strong wind was blowing my face as I stand on the top of the hill. But the sky was just so gorgeous that I could not leave it before it turned black. The first day’s sunset was not very bright, as the cloud was covering the sky. This photograph was taken on the second day, the sun’s reflection on Chateau Frontenac was just right, the cloud’s orange color was a warmth in the middle of the cold evening.
I spend 3 days in the Old Town area f the city, touring around museum and historic sites in the day, and watching the sunset on the evenings. It was one of the best trip I have taken so far, where I could think about life and reflect on my priorities. I have this picture set as the background of my laptop now, as it makes me more relaxed before working on financial modeling and studying.
