I woke up at five today hoping to catch sunrise from a bay near my hotel, I had a quick breakfast and quickly went to the bay I had visited last night. The view itself is not particularly beautiful but I like the way ships are aligned and the reflection of light sources on the water. It took thirty minutes for me to capture the entire bay while listening to a classical music album “Voices”. I like to go to an isolated spot without anybody around and enjoy the view while listening to classic music, I got my “high” many times that way and I’ll continue to do so in the future.
The itinerary today is to go to Oudtshoorn, to see Cango cave and riding an Ostrich. In Cango caves, which discovered in 1780 by a farmer, you could see stalactit and stalacmit inside the cave litted by a tungsten lamp making a beautiful view. And don’t forget to see the scenery along the bus ride, it was full of mountains and fog, very beautiful.
Next stop was Ostrich Farm, we have Ostrich meat, bread, rice, and vegetables for lunch. Ostrich meat tastes much like beef to me. After having lunch we have tour around the farm to ride an Ostrich and see the eggs. Riding Ostrich was much like riding a horse, but you grab the wings instead of neck and put your body backwards. There was many bags from leather, one of them looks much like Hermes (birkin, kelly). It cost about $800 each bag depending on their size.
After leaving Ostrich Farm, we went to Cango Wildlife Ranch, some sort of zoo actually, but you could interact with some of the animals. The preservatory is not vey large, but there is a guided tour with very funny guide. You could take photos together with cheetah, baby cheetah for around $15 each person.
The way back to Knysna, where my hotel located took about one hour but you wouldn’t be bored with the view from the bus, the landscape was amazing, color was pretty saturated. At Knysna I have a course dinner consist of beef carpaccio, squid with rice, and a hot chocolate brownies for the dessert. As usual, I took a long night walk with my father, this time to a bay located farther from our hotel, we spent about one hour there stargazing and photographing the sky. I’m very glad to be able to see so many stars in the sky, which is unavailable in my home.
Thanks for sharing your day. Beautiful pictures.
Thank you, I appreciate the kind words. Have a wonderful evening
