Modern Families -The Underlying Cause of Family Issue

If one of your late ancestors were to come back from the dead and join you for dinner, what things about your family would this person find the most shocking?

The answer to this question is….. I DON’T KNOW! Really, I think long enough and nothing really is shocking about our modern families, what happened in the past happens today, and most, if not all that happen today happened also in the past. There’s very few problems or change that happened in the last century, the most profound change I could think of is slavery, now as it is prohibited, most household will have an independent servant instead of slave.

But speaking of families characteristic in general, things happens the same, divorce happens now as it had in the past (but it is increasing at a fast rate), trouble children, education issues, career change, literally everything we counter every day. We all have family problem, whether it is financial issue, bad relationship, miscommunication, etc. Do you know why we all had this problems?

That’s because we don’t have a good, linear, straight communication. Yes, communication is the underlying issue in most problem we had in family. Many spouse didn’t have a good communication starting their marriage, they think when they are holding a negative thought about their partner, it is better for their relationship. But it couldn’t get more wrong! When those little thought accumulate, added by a present issue, all of those thought are going to erupt! And that’s where the disaster begin.

Think of communication as a highway, connecting cities and countries, when the highway is blocked, or no one want to use the highway, supplies are going to be scarce, no one take care of the road, and many junk will accumulate. It will eventually be harder to use the highway again.

My point is, I (and other psychologist perhaps) think it is better to talk small issue with your partner rather than letting them pissed you off with those small-daily activities. Don’t like your husband new haircut? Talk to him about it!
