Philosophy: Knowing Your Mind

What do you think before you go to bed at night? Maybe you had a very busy day and all you want is to lie on your bed, but let’s go to the basic of your living surrounding. Did you notice the sun rise this morning? Or how the sky fade into darkness? Most people didn’t notice and thought they had no time for such things. But what could be more meaningful than enjoying the beauty of life?

1. Most people are crazy, logically

We all know someone (or perhaps, ehm… Ourself) who spent his life in the office. These person will wake up early and go to work until late, repeating the cycle for the entire of his life. Some people said they had fun doing it, other said they must work for his family, the rest just don’t know what else to do. Most people will say I am crazy to not get married or not taking a job later. But what could be more crazy than living with someone you don’t love anymore and spending 9 hours for 5 days a week working for the rest of your life, only to retire in your home. I would say such life is boring and a waste of talent. Whatever people around me said about me and how I should live my life, I would say mind your own business (politely of course)! I am not going to live life working for a job I may not like and sit on a couch watching TV when I’m retired, while waiting to die. It’s good for people who actually enjoy such life, but I would say it limit our abilities to do things we are wble to do.

2. We are more than what we think about ourself

Have you done something you think you aren’t capable of? I believe we all had that moment, the day we are given countless task to be finished by morning, and with miracle it’s done by the morning. Or the time you think a problem so huge that you think your life will be a mess, and it turned out just fine. We are unlimited, our brain develop as we grow and continue to make new connection as we learn, our muscle will grow if we exercise them, and our mind is just what we think about it. We could be anything we want, with burning desire and effort.

3. Adaption is the key

Whatever we do, wherever we are now, we should quickly adapt with our environment. It’s the only thing to do to ensure our existence. Those who couldn’t adapt will be eleminated, and those who adapt will grow indefinitely.
